Welcome to Lori Barnard Dressage

Lori Barnard Dressage is the result of many years of working with knowledgeable trainers and horsemen. Being able to apply these skills to train happy horses and riders through the levels is my goal.

Having been in the industry for over 25 years, I have worked in commercial and private facilities over the years and have been involved in many facets of the business. Located in the Northwestern corner of Vermont and teaching in the Chittenden Country area, you can trailer in to me for lessons or I am willing to travel to you if time permits.

I apply a patient and methodical approach to classical dressage training. The process needs to be flexible and individually tailored to each partnership with the end result being a harmonious relationship between horse and rider.

* USEF "S” Dressage judge

*USDF Gold, Silver and bronze medalist

*Currently training and showing through Grand Prix

*Clients competing Intro through FEI levels

*British Horse Society Assistant Instructor

*Associates degree in Equine Science and Management

*Member of USEF, USDF, NEDA, CVDA

*Year End Award winner from USDF and NEDA

*Helping clients achieve USDF medals and qualify for regional championships

Lessons and Training

Whether you are looking for a training program for you and your horse or need to prepare for your next show, I am happy to help. My program is not limited to dressage horses only. I believe all horses, no matter the breed or discipline, benefits from correct training. Improving the rideability, being able to adjust the stride, increase suppleness, balance and work in self carriage is important in all disciplines.
